The Royal Irish Academy Social Sciences Committee is hosting an event entitled ‘Values in University Education: from Academic Freedom to Impact’ on Monday 10 June from 1-5pm.
The event will explore shifting principles and values in higher education, such as academic freedom, impact, and open source innovation, against the backdrop of economic pressure and current proposed changes in policy effecting the education sector overall.

Throughout this half day event, speakers will consider the effective ‘re-visioning’ of education and the values -open and hidden- at play and contributions will include a look at higher education in Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
