SPIRES Conference: ‘Social Issues in Research Environments’, 26–27 April 2012, Edinburgh

The next SPIRES conference, ‘Social Issues in Research Environments’, touches us all. It examines the social aspects of research, and how to work with a supervisor or candidate. There are some great keynotes from the US and Australia!

The first day of the conference is aimed at senior research faculty and the second at supervisors, as well as PhD candidates, so all SMARTlabbers are welcome.

SPIRES members can receive funding to attend the conference and other events, and to visit other research facilities. See here for how to become a member.

A flyer is available on the website: www.spiresnetwork.org

Alison Williams is a SMARTlab Designer in Residence and PhD candidate, investigating Architectural Spaces and New Modes of Experience Design.
